Serivce Learning 10 Hour Progress Check

1. Greater El Monte Dialysis Center

• Answer phone calls
• Socialize with patients
• Let patients into the facility
• Prep dialysis station for the next patient
• Various tasks

2. I keep a calender and that has all the dates that I go and the times
that I go. My service learning supervisor then gets all my hours at the end of the week. I usually work
2 hours everytime I go which is on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

3. I've learnt that there needs to be atleast 6 nures on the floor to manage the patients. To be in this field you really have to enjoy socializing with the patients. The nurses are always having fun with their patients and there laughing at each others jokes, it's a lot of fun.
